Overview

Mini description The concept, importance and goals of learning psychology. The most important concepts and principles related to the psychology of learning, research methods in educational psychology, understanding the learning process and its conditions. Learning theories, and how to benefit from them in the educational situation. Comparison between learning theories and their educational applications. The importance of transferring the impact of learning as a result of the learning process. The concept of intelligence, special abilities, individual differences, and factors affecting them. The concept of motivation, and providing students with concepts about it, and how to provoke it for them. The student acquired the skill of educational evaluation, building achievement tests, employing knowledge, and psychological educational concepts to serve the educational process.

Intended learning outcomes

1. Defines the concept, importance and objectives of the psychology of learning

2. Know the methods and methods of research in educational psychology

3. Distinguish pedagogical goals.

4. Clarifies what is meant by the learning process and its conditions.

5. Explains how to employ learning theories in the classroom.

6. Analyzes the importance of the psychology of learning for the student and the teacher.

7. Compare the steps of the experimental method and the comparative approach to causes in the psychology of learning.

8. Deduces the validity of an educational goal in one of the fields of knowledge.

9. Interprets the conditions of learning.

10. Criticize learning theories by making a comparison between them.

11. Design a lesson using a computer in which he addresses the importance of educational psychology.

12. Explain the application of the relational method as one of the research methods using the projector.

13. Designs an information map for a lesson on the conditions for formulating educational objectives.

14. Employ his knowledge of the types and conditions of learning in his career

15. Apply the laws and principles of learning theories in teaching.

16. The student should be able to communicate and communicate in writing and orally

Teaching and learning methods

Methods of assessments

The assessment of students in this course is distributed as follows:

(Semester 40% and final 60%)

Separation work: (40 degrees) divided between:

First written test of objective or short essay style tests (15 marks)

Second written test of objective or short essay style (15 marks)

Scientific activities (e.g. writing a report or making a presentation) (10 marks)

Final: Written exam (60 marks)

- Conditions of learning - motivation - maturity. Emotions and their relationship to learning - reinforcement and its types - feedback - distributed exercise and focused training - educational applications.

Behavioral inputs: - Developmental characteristics of learning - theories of learning and teaching, classification of learning theories - classical conditional correlation. Educational applications. Procedural conditional correlation (Skinner) Conjugation theory (Guthrie) - trial and error theory (Thorndike) -. Educational applications.

Cognitive models: - field theory - Tolman's theory of indicative learning - Piaget's theory of cognitive development. Educational applications.
